Nissan Magnite Crosses 2 Lakh Sales Milestone in India Since 2020 Launch
Now Offered with a Retrofitted CNG Option; Prices Start at ₹6.14 Lakh
Nissan India has proudly announced a significant achievement for its popular compact SUV—the Nissan Magnite has surpassed the 2 lakh units sales mark since its debut in 2020. This milestone underscores the strong demand and growing popularity of the Magnite among Indian consumers, reaffirming its position as a key product in the automaker’s portfolio.
To commemorate this achievement, Nissan has also introduced a new retrofitted CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) variant of the Magnite. The introduction of the CNG option aligns with the brand’s efforts to offer more economical and environmentally friendly mobility solutions in India.
The Nissan Magnite range starts at ₹6.14 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most competitively priced sub-four-metre SUVs in its segment. The newly introduced CNG variant carries a premium of ₹75,000 over the standard petrol version, offering a more affordable running cost for budget-conscious buyers.
Customers opting for the Magnite CNG will benefit from a standard warranty of three years or 1 lakh kilometres, ensuring peace of mind and reliable ownership. The CNG kit is factory-approved and retrofitted by authorized dealers, maintaining the vehicle’s structural integrity and safety standards.
Under the hood, the Nissan Magnite continues to offer two petrol engine options:
- A 1.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine, which can now be equipped with the CNG kit.
- A more powerful 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine for those seeking enhanced performance.
It’s important to note that the CNG kit is available exclusively with the 1.0-litre NA petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Magnite received a mid-cycle facelift in October 2024, enhancing its design, features, and overall appeal. With bold styling, a feature-rich interior, and now an even more economical fuel option, the Magnite continues to attract a wide range of customers—from first-time buyers to those looking for a practical urban SUV.
With this new offering, Nissan aims to further strengthen its foothold in the highly competitive compact SUV segment and cater to the evolving needs of Indian consumers seeking value, performance, and efficiency
