Toyota Innova Hycross Earns 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating: A Milestone In Indian Automotive Safety
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM)’s Innova HyCross has earned a prestigious 5-star safety rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP), reiterating the brand’s objective of providing the highest safety standards for Indian roads. This success is a great leap forward for Toyota in the domestic market, as safety is increasingly becoming a big factor for consumers when selecting vehicles.
Innovative Safety Standards
The Innova HyCross was put to the test under Bharat NCAP – India’s most comprehensive vehicle safety assessment framework – and was given 5-star ratings for adult and child occupant protection. The certificate was given to Toyota by the Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi and received by Mr. Vikram Gulati and Mr. Sudeep Dalvi from TKM.
The HyCross is built using Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA), has better crash safety design and improved body rigidity and chassis strength. Complementing this is Toyota’s proprietary Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) suite, which integrates multiple active safety technologies aimed at preventing accidents and reducing impact.
