Bosch MPS and IDFC FIRST Bank’s MLFF Sets New Benchmark for India’s Digital Public Infrastructure
Bosch Mobility Platform and Solutions (MPS), in partnership with IDFC FIRST Bank, has processed more than 3.04 million vehicle transactions through the Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling system on the Mundka–Bakkarwala stretch of Delhi’s Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) since its launch, highlighting the growing adoption of barrier-less tolling infrastructure in India.
The MLFF system enables vehicles to pass through toll plazas without stopping, eliminating conventional barriers and supporting seamless traffic movement. The corridor now handles an average of more than 50,000 vehicles each day, reducing congestion and improving travel efficiency.
According to the companies, the uninterrupted traffic flow has resulted in estimated fuel savings of 152,129 litres while preventing nearly 395.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. By replacing traditional stop-and-pay toll collection, the system is designed to improve traffic mobility, lower fuel consumption, and enhance the overall commuting experience.

Bosch Mobility Platform and Solutions has developed an integrated technology platform that combines Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), RFID/FASTag integration, radar, and LiDAR technologies to enable automated vehicle identification and real-time toll collection.
The deployment also demonstrates how collaboration between technology providers and financial institutions can support the expansion of India’s digital public infrastructure. By eliminating physical toll barriers, the MLFF system enables continuous traffic flow on high-density corridors while providing highway operators with automated toll processing and improved operational visibility.
