Mahindra Powerol Crowned India’s No.1 Genset Manufacturer For FY25 By Frost & Sullivan
Mahindra Powerol, the diesel genset division of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has been recognised as the leading diesel genset manufacturer in India for FY25. According to the latest DG Tracker report by Frost & Sullivan, Mahindra Powerol claimed the top spot in the Indian genset market by volume, capturing a significant 23.8% market share and surpassing the long-standing market leader.
In FY25, the Indian diesel genset space sold 1,51,634 units. Mahindra Powerol’s steady, consistent, and strong performance in each of the fourth quarters contributed to this, showing the gradual development of the Mahindra Powerol brand and Mahindra Powerol’s market leadership position.
The growth was a result of the healthy sales of Mahindra Powerol’s CPCB IV+ (CPCB4+) compliant gensets, launched to fulfil the emission standards, along with sustained market leadership in the Telecom industry (holding over 55% market share for 15 years). The company also further increased its presence in the increasingly competitive Retail market, which contributed positively to the overall performance.
