Moto Morini X-Cape 1200: Specs And Features Officially Revealed

Moto Morini has officially unveiled full details of the much-anticipated X-Cape 1200 on its website, marking the adventure tourer’s transition from concept to production. The motorcycle is slated to launch in the UK market soon.

First showcased at EICMA 2023 alongside the Corsaro 750, Corsaro Sport, and Milano, the X-Cape 1200 stands out as a rugged and premium offering in the ADV segment. It draws visual inspiration from the smaller X-Cape 650, but introduces sharper styling, advanced components, and an overall more commanding presence.

Key Highlights:

Engine: At the heart of the X-Cape 1200 lies the V2 Corsa Corta EVO V-twin engine, delivering 123.2 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 105 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

Chassis & Suspension: The motorcycle uses a hybrid steel-aluminium frame, paired with a fully adjustable inverted front fork and a rear monoshock with progressive linkage, both offering 180 mm of wheel travel.

Braking System: Braking is managed by Brembo hardware, with dual 320 mm discs and four-piston monoblock calipers at the front, and a 280 mm rear disc with a two-piston caliper. Safety is enhanced with Bosch cornering ABS, and the presence of an IMU suggests features like lean-sensitive traction control may also be included.

Design & Features:

The design language remains distinctly Moto Morini, with a twin-projector LED headlamp, integrated LED DRLs, a tall windscreen, and aggressive air intakes. The ergonomics have been upgraded with a split seat featuring lumbar support, and a larger luggage rack at the rear enhances touring capability.

The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheels, wrapped in tubeless tyres—ideal for mixed terrain riding.

Dimensions & Capacity:

Kerb Weight: 245 kg

Seat Height: 860 mm

Fuel Tank: 23 litres

Ground Clearance: 190 mm

Colour Options:

The X-Cape 1200 will be offered in three striking shades:

Arctic White

Energy Red

Black Viper

While the UK launch is expected imminently, there’s no official word yet on whether the X-Cape 1200 will make its way to Indian shores.
